StatelessLaw — neurosymbolic legal AI
by Stateless Logic
StatelessLaw helps legal and compliance teams search, connect, and verify information across contracts, statutes, and related documents. It is built as two products-StatelessLaw API and StatelessLaw App-on a shared GraphRAG and ZeroTrace architecture.
The StatelessLaw suite
StatelessLaw is not a single monolithic app. The API exposes retrieval, graph navigation, and security modes for your systems. The App provides the same capabilities through a web interface for legal workflows.

StatelessLaw API
Backend engine for graph-based legal retrieval
Target users: Engineering teams, legal tech integrators, product teams building on legal data
Features
- ·GraphRAG retrieval over entity-relationship graphs (not vector-only search)
- ·Corpus indexing for contracts, statutes, parties, and cross-references
- ·GPU-accelerated graph search for large legal datasets
- ·Session modes compatible with ZeroTrace (in-memory, no persistent content storage)
- ·Integrator-facing HTTP API
Example uses
- Embed search in a matter management system
- Power an internal legal copilot with enforced citations
- Batch analysis pipelines over a document repository
StatelessLaw App
Web application for legal research and review
Target users: Lawyers, legal researchers, general counsel, compliance analysts
Features
- ·Search and Q&A over connected legal material
- ·Answers with links to source documents and graph relationships
- ·Review flows for verifying references before reliance
- ·ZeroTrace session option for highly sensitive matter work
- ·Role-oriented access (designed for firm / in-house team use)
Example uses
- Day-to-day matter research and memo preparation
- Cross-checking contracts and policies
- Shared team knowledge base with structural context
Core capabilities
Retrieval that understands structure
Traditional RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) retrieves text fragments that resemble the question. It works — until things get complex.
StatelessLaw maintains a curated knowledge graph of legislation, regulatory guidance, and case law — a single source of truth for legal reasoning.
This means the system can answer questions like "how does this subsidiary's contract clause affect the parent company's DORA obligations?" — even when no single document answers directly.
Security that leaves no trace
ZeroTrace mode processes sensitive material in isolated RAM. Nothing is written to disk, nothing is logged identifiably, and nothing is sent to model training.
When the session ends, the process is destroyed and memory is wiped. Only cryptographically hashed metadata is retained for audit - never content.
This makes the platform suitable even for material that traditional cloud platforms' terms do not permit.
How StatelessLaw works
- 1
Legal reference graph
StatelessLaw maintains an internal graph of legislation, regulatory guidance, and case law—the baseline for legal reasoning and comparison.
- 2
Connect your corpus
Import or connect your document sets and claims: contracts, policies, matter files, and other documentary material.
- 3
Query via API or App
Teams use the App; systems integrate via the API. Queries assemble context from the reference graph and your corpus.
- 4
Compare against the graph
Your material is compared to the reference graph: entities, clauses, and claims are matched against statutes, regulatory guidance, and precedent.
- 5
Verify sources
Responses cite your documents, graph links, and legal sources for human review. Optional ZeroTrace sessions for high-sensitivity work under in-memory policies.
Use cases
Contract analysis
Compare clauses, parties, and amendments across related agreements.
Regulatory mapping
Link internal policies and contracts to regulatory requirements.
Matter research
Cross-document research with provenance for memos and advice.
Knowledge retention
Make firm or department knowledge searchable with structural context.
Sensitive matters
Run ZeroTrace sessions when content cannot persist in standard cloud storage.
